BALLOON POP TAKES US OUTSIDE!

Today our Balloon Pop Countdown message said we could work OUTSIDE for math! We had a beautiful day to work on Area and Perimeter in the gentle breeze and sunshine!

As part of our geology unit, we are becoming geologists. We are using the scientific method to analyze the structure of a "mock rock." These are homemade rocks contain 'ingredients' much like rocks are made from minerals. We are observing, measuring, taking apart and doing experiments with these rocks to learn how geologist find out what materials make up real rocks. Take a peek at the geologists at work.
