HONORING VETERANS

Proctor School had a wonderful opportunity today. We all got a chance to meet with and interview a veteran in our classrooms. Then, we headed to an All School Assembly where each class got to introduce "their veteran" to the entire school. At the program, the whole school got to show our respect for the USA and our Vets by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing "America The Beautiful" to the visiting Veterans.

Our class' veteran was Major Mary Feltault. She served for 16 years in the Air Force before coming to work at Proctor School. She was inspired by her father who was a military man when she was growing up. She told us many interesting facts about her time in the military, but she said she was most proud of the fact that she was willing to do whatever it took to serve her country.

We thank Major Feltault and all Veterans for the sacrifices they make for our country.

All the Veterans were honored at the All School Assembly.

Ava introduces Major Mary Feltault to Proctor School.

Major Feltault gave us her time to explain what her time in the Air Force was like.
