MARSHMALLOW CHALLENGE

MARSHMALLOW CHALLENGE

Today the entire school was given a challenge:
make a structure that could hold a marshmallow on top using:
20 pieces of spaghetti
1 yard of tape
1 piece of string and
a marshmallow

Before we even started we discussed the purpose. This was an exercise in teamwork and problem solving without giving up.
We met that challenge with "flying colors." Teams discussed and planned, shared their ideas, listened to one another AND KEPT TRYING when one idea did not work.

Our structures were inventive althoug none of them was able to stand without support. But, the important thing was everyone PERSEVERED!
